Day 250: Chili Cook-off…

I feel so blessed to work in an environment that if something happens to a fellow worker our organization will pull together like a family to help in the best way possible.  This time the Classified Staff at the College helped organize a chili cook-off with the proceeds going to help a fellow employee’s family with medical expenses.

I brought my bog ole steaming bowl of “Dustie’s Dyno-mite Chili” and although I wasn’t named the winner I had so much fun with my fellow employees getting to visit with community members and meet new people at the event.

One of the good parts was getting to taste everyone’s different concoctions! YUMMO!  The BEST part was knowing we were getting to be a part of a helpful event!  It is chili eating weather here in Oklahoma.

(Cindy the Winner-winner with her Kickin’ Cowgirl Chili – Stuffing ballots MAY have been done, although it was ENCOURAGED!) 😉

Sparkle and Spur and settle in with some warm food in your belly tonight

About dustiebill

Born, raised and still trying to live life as an Oklahoma cowgirl. I have a travel loving soul and I LOVE photography. My blog has started out as a place for me to post my 365 photo-a-day challenge....I have now found a love for fine art. Specifically Horse or Western Inspired Photography. I love my husband, kids, DIY projects, horses, wine, lightening, post-it notes, colored sharpie markers, trolling garage sales, baseball, cooking, shopping, working outside in the garden and living a simple country life. If you own a piece of our work you own more than just a piece of art. Thank you for supporting cowgirls. Sparkle and Spur Dustie Bill
