Thankful for Thanksgiving

I’m SO thankful for SO many things that I’m not even going to open that can of worms up……Fall is one of my favorite times of year….and I have to say that THIS year I kinda felt like the world was trying to skip right over it all!

My mam-maw’s words of wisdom were always “Christmas Tree up after Thanksgiving and down before New Years or its bad luck.  We celebrate one holiday at a time.”  I agree with my mam-maw.

(my friend Ashley and I)

Thanksgiving is a special time for my family as we gathered around with friends, family and volunteers and celebrated the 6th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Tecumseh City Hall.  We served over 400 people and got to spend the afternoon eating and visiting with other families.

Sharing Pie and stories

Giving and teaching about helping hands

Enjoying the company of our fellow community members

And spending the day giving and giving thanks for the many blessings we have in our life

Happy Thanksgiving!

About dustiebill

Born, raised and still trying to live life as an Oklahoma cowgirl. I have a travel loving soul and I LOVE photography. My blog has started out as a place for me to post my 365 photo-a-day challenge....I have now found a love for fine art. Specifically Horse or Western Inspired Photography. I love my husband, kids, DIY projects, horses, wine, lightening, post-it notes, colored sharpie markers, trolling garage sales, baseball, cooking, shopping, working outside in the garden and living a simple country life. If you own a piece of our work you own more than just a piece of art. Thank you for supporting cowgirls. Sparkle and Spur Dustie Bill
