Day 151: Sisters…

There is a special bond with sisters whether they are blood, step, adopted, fostered, sorority, sister-friends, sister’s from another mister or just a phrase we use to address each other by as in like, “Well sister Sue, you’d better slow down there!”  I LOVE MY SISTER! 🙂

Women understand women…..that’s just the way it is! We don’t understand the opposite sex and they don’t understand us.  But women can recognize , sympathize and empathize with each other on a different level – I think it feels so special to be a part of that sisterhood!

I know that this isn’t always the way us women look at each other.  I too have been in the throws of the cattiness, craziness, moodiness and all that other *#&%(&!%NESS that can sometimes go on with and between women.  What competitive little creatures we can be to each other. (HEY I’ve watched Desperate Housewives, Jersey Shore AND I DID live in a sorority house). 😉

But today this muse reminds me about GIRL POWER and the POWER of SISTERHOOD.  Us women have the free will that it is socially acceptable to be tender, affectionate and mothering (EVEN in PUBLIC) and I think there is no better day than today to exercise that.  Tell your sisters around you that you LOVE them extra today and maybe even give em a hug!!!  Sometimes we just need that special lift from our surrounding “sisters” to give us the drive to pull through!  Pay it forward today…tomorrow it might be you!

Sparkle and Spur and share in sisterhood!

About dustiebill

Born, raised and still trying to live life as an Oklahoma cowgirl. I have a travel loving soul and I LOVE photography. My blog has started out as a place for me to post my 365 photo-a-day challenge....I have now found a love for fine art. Specifically Horse or Western Inspired Photography. I love my husband, kids, DIY projects, horses, wine, lightening, post-it notes, colored sharpie markers, trolling garage sales, baseball, cooking, shopping, working outside in the garden and living a simple country life. If you own a piece of our work you own more than just a piece of art. Thank you for supporting cowgirls. Sparkle and Spur Dustie Bill
