Day 126: Around the town ABSTRACT…

Low on fumes and inspiration (where’d my Fall Break go?)  Today I was looking for abstracts around town.  I need to challenge my eye to really see what is around me.   Things have been fast and furious in my world and I am needing to re-collect.  I found a chair…..;)

I’m kind of a “big picture girl” who LOVES details…..complex I know….but lettme explain this.  I work in Public Relations which means I usually go to bed with my brain still running on high and try to get as much sleep as I can before my feet hit the floor running again in the morning as I wake up to a list of a million things I still need to accomplish as well as a few side things that pop up along the way.   In my “free-time” I like to do my photography thing.   Full time worker, part time free-lancer (I wished it was the other way around) 🙂

If I’m in a crunch for an event the big picture girl part is helpful and in a crunch can pull almost anything together and off…..if I have a little more time then the detail girl in me comes out and I want to make sure that every little thing is just perfect as not to be overlooked.  I’m a right brained person but I desperately try to work that left brain part as much as I can! Haha.  Plus my editors want to kill me when I don’t “take my time”.

Some people think I am a glutton for punishment, some think I must be a machine to keep up this pace and some just think I’m nuts….. I’m sure that it’s a mixture of all 3.  BUT I am not good idol…..and so I focus my energy into something that I enjoy and love and whala….my crazy, hectic world is at peace when I can stroll around town looking for an abstract photography muse!

HEY! It keeps me outta those “pool halls” as my grandma calls them! 😉

About dustiebill

Born, raised and still trying to live life as an Oklahoma cowgirl. I have a travel loving soul and I LOVE photography. My blog has started out as a place for me to post my 365 photo-a-day challenge....I have now found a love for fine art. Specifically Horse or Western Inspired Photography. I love my husband, kids, DIY projects, horses, wine, lightening, post-it notes, colored sharpie markers, trolling garage sales, baseball, cooking, shopping, working outside in the garden and living a simple country life. If you own a piece of our work you own more than just a piece of art. Thank you for supporting cowgirls. Sparkle and Spur Dustie Bill
