Day 44 – Lone Ranger Corn Stalk

Today as I was out and about looking for my muse I ran across this lone ranger corn stalk that stood tall and strong against the dry Oklahoma wind.  It caught my eye because out of all the millions of corn stalks in the pasture that had been plowed over, this one trumped its own fate.

It reminded me of the saying “Don’t think you’re on the right road just because it’s a well-beaten path.”

Nonconformity is my friend and I think it should be yours too!  Not that you should compare people to corn stalks but this picture reminds me that it’s OK to go against the grain sometimes, it’s OK to be different and it’s OK to stand up and out in a room full of carbon copies.

Be like this brave and strong cornstalk and stand out against the crowd.  Find your BLISS and run with it….even if that means not laying down and being plowed over.  You never know when you might be that muse someone else is looking for.  🙂  BE a LONE RANGER!

About dustiebill

Born, raised and still trying to live life as an Oklahoma cowgirl. I have a travel loving soul and I LOVE photography. My blog has started out as a place for me to post my 365 photo-a-day challenge....I have now found a love for fine art. Specifically Horse or Western Inspired Photography. I love my husband, kids, DIY projects, horses, wine, lightening, post-it notes, colored sharpie markers, trolling garage sales, baseball, cooking, shopping, working outside in the garden and living a simple country life. If you own a piece of our work you own more than just a piece of art. Thank you for supporting cowgirls. Sparkle and Spur Dustie Bill
